The OISS's ability to issue I-20s and DS-2019s are based on Tulane University's I-17 (Petition for Approval of School for Attendance by Nonimmigrant Student), which designates us as a SEVP (Student and Exchange Visitor Program) Certified school. All international students will be added to OISS Online Orientation in Canvas and receive a series of pre-departure emails encouraging them to work through the content before they arrive in the United States. Tulane has three main advisors to support international students once they arrive at Tulane University. Areas of advising include but are not limited to: immigration, Tulane resources, cultural adjustment, campus engagement, personal issues, financial concerns, careers, and working in the United States.
