OISS Spring Orientation

 

International students participate in an icebreaker activity during orientation

Your journey at Tulane University begins with OISS Orientation!  It is designed to help you:

  • Adjust to academic and social life at Tulane;
  • Comply with government regulations pertaining to your stay in the U.S;
  • Learning about on and off campus resources and support services;
  • Learn how to navigate the campus;
  • Become comfortable with the local community and U.S. culture; and
  • Meet people and make friends from around the world.

Studies show the benefits of participating in orientation programs.  Faculty members and advisors see a marked difference in the preparedness and success of students who have participated in orientation.

Important information. If you are arriving in the country for the first time this academic year, you must complete OISS Online Orientation in order to complete your online iGlobal check-in.

During this orientation, you will get to meet the staff of the Office of International Students and Scholars and orientation leaders (OISS). They will share important immigration information and discuss the resources that our office offers. They will also explain further opportunities for you to be prepared to succeed academically and socially, as well as learn about U.S. culture.

Before in-person orientation, please make sure you complete the OISS Online Orientation and mandatory iGlobal check-in
