International Showcase on Thursday, April 2
The International Showcase will be held on Thursday, April 2 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the LBC, Room 213 (Kendall Cram). It is an opportunity to showcase Tulane's vibrant and unique community through cultural exhibits, crafts, and food. The afternoon will be full of fun and activities, so we can all celebrate and enjoy our different cultures. All students are welcome to attend and participate.
All registered student organizations (RSOs) are invited to participate in this iconic multicultural event. Organizations will have a table (or Culture Booth) where they can lead an activity for attendees about their culture, country, or region. Activities can include:
- Games Informational handout
- Craft or art project
- Mini presentation
- Trivia
- Fashion display
- And more! Each
RSO can receive funding up to $100 to purchase supplies. For example, if your organization wants to lead an activity for henna art, we can purchase the items needed on behalf of your organization.
This semester, students will also be able to lead a performance for attendees at the showcase. Performances can include:
- Singing
- Dancing
- Playing an instrument
- A fashion show
- And more!
This semester we are also adding a International Art Exhibition. Students can submit their work to be featured in a static display that will be exhibited at the showcase. Art can include:
- Visual arts, such as photography or painting
- Literary arts, such as poetry or short stories
- And more!
More information on these topics will be discussed at the information session in February.
As part of the registration process, students will also be able to nominate local restaurants and dishes to cater the event. We hope to showcase local restraunts that our students love!
Join us for an Information Session on Friday, February 20 from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM on Zoom.
