OISS Building Closure 

Due to the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University on Thursday, March 27 through Saturday, March 29, OISS will adjust our building operations to accomodate higher traffic in the Uptown area. Our office will close early on Thursday, March 27 at 4:30 PM and our building will be physically closed all of Friday, March 28. We will reopen for normal building operations on Monday, March 31. If you have an in-person appointment, please connect with your OISS advisor to discuss switching to virtual.

New to TU Wave

Introduce new students and scholars to the university through orientation and social events. Events focus on: cultural adjustment, immigration policy, campus resources, student support services, building community.

OISS Orientations and Welcome Activities

August 12-17

  • OISS Undergraduate Reception- August 14
  • OISS Visiting J-1 Exchange Orientation- August 15

During OISS orientation, you will get to meet the staff of the OISS. They will share important information. They will also explain further opportunities and resources for you to be prepared to succeed academically and socially, and learn about U.S. Culture.

Before the in-person orientation, please make sure you complete the OISS Online Orientation and mandatory iGlobal Check-In.

TU and You

Fall 2024: August 26, September 9, September 16

Fall 2024 Location: Weinmann Hall (Law School), Berkett Multipurpose Room (Building #32, Uptown Campus)

 

TU & You is an ongoing orientation series introducing international students to important ideas and concepts to prepare them for success at Tulane. The program will also connect students to various departments on campus that can help them succeed in their academic and personal life here. Throughout the program, students will become familiar with best practices for navigating New Orleans, managing their mental health, and more.
