Nancy Quant Lauland joined OISS as a Program Manager in 2014, where she assists international faculty and visiting scholars in immigration-related matters. She was born in Leon, Nicaragua and has family roots from Hong Kong. She grew up in New Orleans and would consider herself a native. She earned a BA in Communications from University of New Orleans and also received an ABA certification in Paralegal Studies from Louisiana State University. Prior to joining OISS, she spent eight years as an immigration paralegal with the law firm Ware|Immigration and has experience working on H-1B petitions, family-based petitions, employment-based petitions and permanent residence filings.
