The issues around sexual harassment and assault are a concern at Tulane University and in the country as a whole. The Office of International Students and Scholars began procuring this program in 2015 because we wanted to have more culturally aware information available for our international students. At Tulane University we pride ourselves on providing an enlightening college experience, which demands a safe and healthy student environment. To that end, we are suggesting that you view Title IX Essential for International Students, an online interpersonal violence prevention program from Student Success. This video-based program is designed to help international students better understand Title IX issues and how they relate to U.S. culture. It will provide critical information about Consent and various forms of interpersonal violence, the distinction between school policy and U.S. law, how U.S. law might differ from laws in your home country, and consequences of violations. The program will help you better understand how vitally important these issues are and how you can better navigate interpersonal relationships in the U.S. to help make your campus safer.
