Beginning on May 29, the main entrance to our office at 6901 Willow St will be closed due to remodeling for the front desk. During this time, students and scholars will not be able to enter our office using the front door. To access our building during the renovations, please use the side door located on the side of our building closest to the PJs on Willow St. Once you enter, follow the signage to the temporary front desk. OISS will remain open for normal business hours during the construction. We anticipate the construction should be complete in 2-3 weeks. Thank you for your patience.

OISS and OMA Celebrate Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Month

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving event yesterday and we were happy to have President Fitts join us for some of the fun.  The Annual "Pot Luck" Thanksgiving Dinner is sponsored by The Office for International Students and Scholars and the Office of Multicultural Affairs and has been a tradition for over 20 years.  The dinner began as a means to provide a place for those international students who do not have a place to go for a Thanksgiving Dinner or who have never experienced an American Thanksgiving tradition and has since expanded to include any interested Tulanian who wishes to share in the experience of Thanksgiving with the Tulane community.  Each year over 500 students faculty and staff participate in the event.  This year we featured a tribute to Native Americans in celebration of Native American Indian Heritage Month.  There was a special musical and storytelling performance by Grayhawk Perkins and the Grayhawk Band.
