Paúl Troncozo

President of ISAB

My name is Paúl, and I am from Ecuador. I am honored to serve this year as your president! I am an economist, lawyer, sociologist, and political scientist. Outside of my professional life, I have a deep love for nature and hiking, particularly in the Andean mountains, where the air is crisp, and the views are unmatched! My passion for sports is quite broad, encompassing everything from ball games and racquet sports to chess (yes, it is a sport, haha). I also have a profound appreciation for the written word, finding solace in poetry and literature, as well as intellectual stimulation in reading scientific texts outside of my field of expertise. Living a healthy lifestyle, listening to classical music, and learning languages are among my greatest passions! Above all, I am deeply in love with my country's gastronomy and biodiverse landscapes, which constantly remind me of the beauty and complexity of the varied world we share.

Hi everyone! I’m Vridhika Khatri, but you can call me V. I’m originally from India, where I completed my bachelors in Dental Surgery. Now, I’m a graduate student at Tulane, pursuing my masters in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology. My research interests are in sexual and reproductive health.

In my free time, I love going on long walks, baking, listening to music, and hearing people's stories. Traveling is another passion of mine—I jump at the chance to explore new places whenever I can.

As an international student, I know how challenging it can be to adjust to a new culture, academic environment, and way of life. Having gone through that journey myself, I’m here to help other international students feel supported, understood, and welcomed as they transition to life at Tulane.

Feel free to reach out anytime—whether you have questions, need advice, or just want to chat. I’m here to listen and support you as you navigate your journey at Tulane! My email is vkhatri@tulane.edu
