		Alejandra Simán President of ISAB Hi everyone! My name is Alejandra Simán, and this is me enjoying a lovely mimosa on my 18th birthday. To tell you a little more about me – I am a junior majoring in Chemical Engineering and Environmental Studies. I am originally from Honduras, meaning this will be my fourth year in New Orleans! During my free time, I like to read, make jewelry and play videogames. I’m also involved in many diverse organizations around campus, so if we bump into each other, don’t be afraid to say hi! I always love to advocate and promote inclusivity wherever I am, which made joining ISAB an easy decision to make! I’m looking forward to meeting new people and learning many cool things from y’all. 		Celiwe Nsibande Secretary My name is Celiwe Nsibande, but you can call me CeCe. I’m a Fulbright Student from Eswatini and currently in my second year of the MPH Health Policy program at the Tulane School of Public Health. I enjoy all things wellness - yoga, Pilates, park runs, and most recently, boxing. I also love exploring new foods, and New Orleans has been the perfect city for that. This is my second term serving on ISAB. I joined to help represent the needs and concerns of international students, especially J-1 students like me. 		Marley Assefa ISAB Member Hi everyone!! My name is Marley Assefa, and I am a sophomore from Ethiopia, majoring in Biochemistry on the Pre-Medical Track. 		Diana Duarte ISAB Member Hi everyone! My name is Diana Duarte and I am a Junior majoring in Architecture and Spanish. I am from San Pedro Sula, Honduras. On my free time I love watching movies and reading, I am also a huge F1 fan! If you see my around campus don’t be shy to say hi! 		Man "Julie" Tang ISAB Member Hello, I am Man Tang, you can call me Julie. I am a third-year PhD student at Health Policy and Management department in School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. I’m from China and I have a seven-year-old daughter. I am very pleased to be a member of ISAB. This is my second year in New Orleans, but I previously worked for 10 years in the pharmaceutical industry with top 20 corporations as a healthcare policy analyst and strategy manager. I would love to share my experiences with all of you, from my career in the pharmaceutical industry to my journey of ten years in academia. I also look forward to meeting new friends at Tulane and building connections as fellow Tulanians. Let’s enjoy this unique opportunity together!
		Isil Beyza Bala ISAB Member Hi everyone! My name is Işıl Beyza Bala, and I am pursuing my LL.M. degree at Tulane University as a Fulbright scholar from Turkey, specializing in Admiralty & Maritime Law. Before coming to Tulane, I completed my law degree at Ankara University, where I was actively involved in moot courts, student societies, and research projects. Beyond academics, I am passionate about tennis, both playing and following it. I also have a special interest in literature and cinema, and I could talk about them for hours! I know that sometimes it can be very challenging to adapt to a new country and academic environment. Through ISAB, I aim to support fellow international Tulanians, share my experiences, and contribute to making their journey at Tulane as smooth and enriching as possible. 		Tasniya Zulfiquar ISAB Member Hello! I am Tasniya, a fourth-year PhD student at the Neuroscience department from Dhaka, Bangladesh. My name means "admiration" in Arabic. I am a parakeet person and had lots of little budgies back home. I enjoy reading story books, trying new foods and watching thriller movies in my free time. As a board member, my aim is to bridge the gap between international students and the Tulane OISS by sharing the concerns and challenges they face, and work with other board members to help improve resources and keep promoting the supportive environment that Tulane offers to the international community.
		Raghavendhar Thaduru ISAB Member Raghavendhar Thaduru is a Master’s student in Accounting at Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business. He has over 6 years of professional experience in U.S. corporate taxation, having worked at Deloitte and EY in India. His expertise includes preparing and reviewing U.S. corporate tax returns (Form 1120), resolving tax notices with the IRS and CRA, and applying technology solutions for compliance. Outside of academics and work, Raghavendhar enjoys exploring new places, outdoor adventures, and cycling, which keep him energized and inspired.
		Amulya Katiki ISAB Member Hi everyone!! My name is Amulya Katiki, and I’m from Hyderabad, India. I’m a graduate student at the A. B. Freeman School of Business, pursuing a Master of Accounting with a specialization in U.S. Taxation. 		Meryem Rumeysa Abayli ISAB Member Hi everyone! My name is Meryem, and I am from the Netherlands with Turkish roots. I am currently an exchange undergraduate student at Tulane University for the fall semester. Back home, I study International Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management, and I am especially interested in finance, strategy, and global opportunities. Outside of academics, I love weightlifting at the gym, travelling, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. As an international student myself, I know how exciting (but also challenging) it can be to adapt to a new environment. That is why I joined ISAB: to help other international students feel welcomed, supported, and ready to make the most of their time at Tulane. 		Colin Lomas ISAB Member My name is Colin, and I am an exchange student from Germany studying at Tulane Law this Fall semester. My legal studies and work experience have taken me across Germany and the UK, while my volunteer work frequently brings me to East Africa. At my home university, I represented the Student Division of the German American Lawyers Association, helping to connect law students and attorneys across the Atlantic. My semester abroad is supported by Fulbright and Heinrich Boell Foundation scholarships, and I am a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts in London. In my free time, I enjoy staying active—whether in the gym, running, cycling, or playing golf. On holidays, you’ll usually find me sailing, surfing, or climbing. I look forward to drawing on my experiences and contributing to ISAB!
