Optional Practical Training E-Form Available for F-1 Students

Moving forward, F-1 students will now be able to apply for OPT via E-Form, which is already available.  Instead of emailing scanned documents to OISS, students will now be able to submit them via this new e-form.  Once the form is submitted, an advisor will review it within 5 – 10 working days. If everything we received is correct, the student will receive an e-mail with further instructions, and their new OPT I-20. We hope that this form will offer a more convenient and organized method for submitting OPT applications to OISS, and for us to return the document back to the student.

There is no reason to resubmit applications that were previously filed and are being processed. Additionally, we will still be accepting e-mail applications until April 15. After that point, students must use the new e-form.
