During International Education Week, the Office of International Students and Scholars will recognize the efforts of individuals and teams on campus who support international students, scholars, and efforts on campus.

International Student and Scholar Champion Award

The International Student and Scholar Champion Award recognizes a faculty or staff member of the Tulane community who contributes to and supports the international experience on campus. Nominees should exhibit qualities, achievements, or efforts that support the international community and make international students, staff, and faculty feel welcome. Nominees for this award should be a shining example of excellence in promoting cross-cultural understanding and fostering global diversity. Additional qualities may include:

  • Made contributions to further enrich the experiences of international students, staff, and faculty members on and off campus; and
  • Provide support to the international population beyond the boundary of their job duties.

OISS Partner Appreciation Award

The OISS Partner Appreciation Award is presented to administrative partners from across the university who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the international population and to OISS’s mission of supporting  international students and scholars. These partners provide crucial assistance, foster an inclusive campus environment, and ensure the success and well-being of international students. They have consistently demonstrated transparent communication, advocacy, problem-solving and effortless collaboration. These partners make our jobs easier and we could not do what we do without them.
