OISS Adjusted Hours - December 5

OISS will operate on an adjusted schedule on Thursday, December 5. Instead of our normal hours of operation, we will be open from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, then we will be closed from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. 

 

OISS Limited Services - December 6

Due to software updates to OISS record systems, we will have limited services and advising capabilities on Friday, December 6 from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM. iGlobal check-in, extensions, transfer requests, employment authorizations, OPT reporting, and any e-forms will all be unavailable during this time. 

 

OISS Winter Recess Announcement

OISS will be closed for Winter Recess from Monday, December 23 to Wednesday, January 1. We will reopen on Thursday, January 2. During this time, we will not process any document requests or respond to emails. 

If you have an emergency during Winter Recess, please reach out to TUPD at (504) 865-5911.

Important Immigration Updates for Tulane's International Population

Significant immigration changes have gone into effect recently that impact the way in which our students and scholars need to maintain their status.  To that end, OISS has created immigration status maintenance checklists.

We are sharing this information with you,our campus partners, so that you are aware of the changing immigration landscape and resources available to international students and scholars to navigate these changes.

Additionally, we also held a workshop on November 6th presented by Marco Balducci, TULAP immigration attorney, and myself covering the following topics:

  • Overview of recent immigration changes.
  • Immigration changes that are upcoming, but not yet in effect.
  • Best practices to maintain your status and prevent immigration issues.
