How did studying abroad affect your academic and/or professional career?

My experience studying abroad greatly influenced the topic and scope of my senior thesis.

How did you explore your hobbies, interests, and passions abroad?

I was able to visit many of the cultural and political centers of Europe, as well as spending 6 months in the city of international peace and justice.

Why would you recommend your respective abroad program or location?

I would recommend the Netherlands for its central location, friendly people, and excellent academic environment.

What should students consider when applying and preparing for their time abroad?

I benefited greatly from reaching out to a current Tulane student that was at the institution I was going to attend. She was able to address my concerns about finding housing and registering for classes much more directly because she had faced many of the similar issues.

Share a story about a time you experienced cultural immersion.

I traveled to Berlin with two of my friends from Tulane who were abroad in the UK at the same time I was in the Netherlands. During this time I played the part of the tour guide, using my German skills to navigate the city, communicate, and plan out our itinerary. This allowed me to immerse myself back into Germany after having been away for nearly a decade.
