Biography
I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I moved to New Orleans in the early 80’s and started working at the Tulane’s English as a Second Language Program (ESL). Years later, after the ESL program closed after Katrina, I joined the university’s International Office where I currently hold the role of Program Manager. All these years of working closely with international students have given me the knowledge, experience, and the opportunity to better understand and meet their needs as they come to this country to acquire an education. I enjoy helping our international students navigate through all aspects of this process, which requires learning to adjust to a new culture. My passion for helping internationals at Tulane has kept me working in the international field and immigration services for over 30 years.
